What Design is™

A multi-definitive approach to what design is about. I have been asked many times about how I define design. But I really don't believe that there is one single answer. In fact design isn't a thing, instead many things. And therefore, all responses are highly contextual.

Please feel free to add your very own definition with its explanation. You might e-mail me or post them on the blog as comments and I will publish them (as public posting is not allowed on Blogger). I look forward...

Design is: Problem...

Design is not simply about problem solving. No!
Also, it's about being the problem, causing the problem, finding and highlighting the problem, affecting the problem, passing the problem, leading to a solution to the problem, choosing among solutions best fitting to the problem, and maybe solving the problem.

Design is: Multiple Truths

There is no one simple truth in design. Anything can be right everything can be wrong. It all depends on time, situation and hundreds of other circumstances... That's why it's not about what is true, but rather how you present or defend it.

Design is: Telling The Convenient

In this picture where is the tower of Mac??

Telling the convenient, hiding the truth. Proofing what you "what" to say, and manipulate perceptions that way.
